Each practical session is a detailed course covering various fabric design techniques for a day. Participants gain hands-on experience and create their own unique projects. This course offers flexibility oif time. Participants can choose the day they wish to have their classes. They can only from any of these courses Ádìrẹ̣ Elẹ́kọ̀ (Cassava Starch), Ádìrẹ̣ Alábélá (Batik), Ádìrẹ̣ Oníkọ̀ (Tie and Dye) or Ádìrẹ̣ Alábéré (Stitch and Dye). All courses are same as in the Virtual interactive classes except that you get to do a project for yourself in this detailed crash programme.
1. Tools and materials for batik
2. Stamping with a foam pattern (one – colour way design)
3. Stamping a check pattern
4. Learn how to make multiple colour distribution using the envelope pattern
5. Learn how to create a crackle design
6. Hand waxing fabric (one – colour way design)
7. The dyeing process
8. The de-waxing process
9. Finishing
All classes are held in our studio at 14 Bank Olemoh Close, Surulere, Lagos.
